HELP: Object Inspector Missing!!! Strange problem. I can't seem to get the object inspector reappear. It seems to have just vanished. I tried: 1. F11 does not work. 2. Exiting D3 and going back in does not work. 3. The tried and true reboot does not work. Last resort would be a reinstall. Has anyone ever had this problem? How do I fix it? ******************************************************** Reply To: [email protected] or ICQ: 1889495 ******************************************************** Project: Football(Soccer) Management Sim Compiler/Language: Delphi 3 Remarks: If you are interested in this project drop me line or ICQ me. ******************************************************** |
Re:HELP: Object Inspector Missing!!!If you change the resolution to something higher (ie 1024*768) and put the OI on the right hand side of the screen, then if you change back to a lower resolution (ie 800*600), it appears to have disappeared, but is just of the viewable area of the screen. This can also be a problem if more that 1 person is using the same project. QuoteTJ wrote in message <[email protected]>.. |

Re:HELP: Object Inspector Missing!!!QuoteTJ wrote: I have had this problem and, if you can select the Object inspector (or whichever window is off screen) using F11 or the windows menu (I think GExperts gives you the windows menu) you can use Alt-Space to display the system menu (which is clever enough to appear on screen) select Move and then use the cursor keys to move it into the visible area. Re:HELP: Object Inspector Missing!!! I suppose this solution has been a little slow in coming (or maybe someone else has already posted it to the group!), but doesn't involve changing resolution, deleting the .dsk file, or even editing the .dsk file (a solution that I resorted to early on). It simply involves some old-fashioned Windows keyboard shortcuts. Press F11 (to activate the OI in Delphi, of course), press alt-spacebar (to activate the system menu for the OI window), press 'm' (to choose the 'Move' option on the system menu), and then press the arrow keys (usually the left arrow key, though you might need others). When the Object Inspector is where you like it, simply left-click the mouse or hit the Enter key. I've found this to be more convenient than other solutions. I hope you find it convenient, too.
